The Parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Wa East Constituency Dr. Mahama Suleman Kandia Ewurah believes that wining the parliamentary seat in his constituency won’t be tough.
The former Research assistant at Ministry of Food and Agriculture says, developing the entire Wa East constituency remains his top most priority, and will ensure it becomes achievable when he gets the nod to represent his people.
“You are aware I have already provided some developmental projects in the area including the Funsi town road among others” he pointed out“.
Talking about the 2024 elections, I have the belief that I am going to win, because, me and my brother Jasew that is going for the election, he has been to Funsi before and has campaigned and made promises, has he been able to fulfil those promises?.

But me sitting here, I can personally boast of the Funsi town road that is still under construction. So anyone from Funsi that wants development can look at the road and vote for me, what of Jasew? What has he done? So I have the believe that 2024 the people are going to use that road and some other projects that we are still bringing to decide who goes to parliament.
“What Jasew promised the people in the last election, if the people believe he has fulfilled his promise then they can vote for him? For example he told the people he was going to farm for them but fail to fulfil that promise, we are currently building a classroom at Funsi senior high school and he is also donating pads to the students.“
“The election will depend on what the two of us have done, and I have the belief that looking at the performance of the two of us, I am also better than him. He Jasew deceived the people in the last election, so I expect the people to ask him whether he has been able to fulfil those promises and if they feel that he has done better than me then that is it“.
Dr. Mahama has promised the people; Chiefs of huge development if voted as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area come December 7, 2024.
Dr. Mahama Suleman made this known during an interview on Pulung fm on Wednesday 3rd July, 2024.
As mentioned by the DCE Wa East, the Funsi Township road of 0.6km is still not tarred. He should think of the abandoned Wahabu/Yaala road, also Halinboi-Jikpie trap bridges, Sawuobe/Halinboi-Jikpie/Kulung no electricity project, etc. and restrengthen his belt.
