HICHALE IN COLLABORATION WITH WIYAALA HANDS OVER REFURBISHED DELIVERY ROOM TO FUNSI SAINT JOHN’S CLINIC

The renovated delivery room receives ultra modern delivery bed two oxygen cylinders and one ultramodern delivery lamp.

Hichale NGO in collaboration with the Lioness of Africa Wiyaala has handed over a renovated delivery room which contains some ultramodern equipment to the Funsi Saint John’s clinic.

The managing Director for the Hichale NGO Mr. Emmanuel Dery kuusani mentioned that the NGO have been collaborating with Wiyaala and it is fair that her community also benefits from whatever the NGO get from their collaboration.  He hinted that one of the pressing issues Wiyaala told the NGO was the poor state of the delivery room of the St. John’s health center. ‘’we came and saw it, and it was really not in the best shape. So we thought as a starting point it is good to renovate that room because that is where life begins.”

Upper West Pr Tv news in an interview with Wiyaala who is also a board member of the Hichale NGO, she revealed that she noticed the poor condition of the delivery room during her sister’s delivery.

According to the lioness of Africa, the delivery room has been in a bad state for a long time. ‘’I went in there to assist my sister when she was delivering her baby and I saw the facility was nothing to write home about’’. She explained that, the issue was discussed with her board members and out of the many projects they added Funsi.

Mr. Biney Daniel Kennedy the administrator for the St. Johns clinic in Funsi said the equipped and renovated labour ward will bring smiles to pregnant women, boost the confidence of their partners and improve overall maternal health outcomes at the facility, adding that the gesture will contribute towards ending preventable maternal deaths in the Wa East district and accompany women through healthy pregnancies and safe deliveries.

The in-charge also thanked the Hichale NGO and the lioness of Africa for supporting the facility by renovating the dilapidated delivery room to allow the safe delivery of babies.

The renovated delivery room which cost Hichale about Ghs50, 000 will improve the conditions at the facility and ensure that everyone who seeks care there, particularly women, receives it in the highest possible standard.

Hichale is an NGO that develop sustainable programs and services responsive to the needs in the areas of education, healthcare, water supply, infrastructure, and social support projects focusing on communities and individuals in Kalba and Funsi.
