Butchers at Wa- Kpaguri small ruminate abattoir at have expressed their frustration over the abuse of office by the Wa Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin.
According to the butchers, the acting MCE, once led a delegation to the abattoir to convince them of creating a garter in the area to prevent flood but later for them to notice that, the land has been sold out for the construction of a fuel station.
Alhaji Cantoona, a butcher at the abattoir speaking to the media on behalf of the butchers said activities by Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin towards them shows that, he is secretly having problems with the association. He also alleged that, the MCE has created a similar abattoir for a private person and by so doing; he has come to collapse their business.
He however recommended the former M.C.E who has allocated the space for them which is now sold out by Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin.
”We applaud the former municipal chief executive, hon. Nuhu Poutieha for the intervention; and to the MCE; we are of the conviction that, he has sold the land to himself. We also want to state factually that, until the last man loses his life, we are not going to vacate ourselves from the land.” Alhaji Cantoona stressed.
Some member of the association also expressed their displeasure towards the acting Municipal Chief Executive; stating that, his action may lead them into some unwanted practices in society especially when they quit from the job.
They are then calling on the MCE to as matter of urgency take a second look at the ongoing project within the abattoir since it will not be of help to the public.
